Booking Procedures
Permanent and Casual Bookings
Each child is permitted one permanent morning or afternoon (Preschool only) session per week. An additional permanent afternoon session is permitted in the Pre School if available. Additional sessions may be accessed on a casual basis subject to availability. For casual fees please see below.
Casual bookings may be made through the Booking Officer up to 2 weeks prior to a session, and as soon as the phone line is open at 7.30am.
Each child may be cared for no longer than 5 hours per day and no more than 15 hours per week. Please note that no more than one session is allowed per day.
Casual bookings are not permitted in the nursery Term 1, as time is required to settle new babies.
Booking Officer
Please contact the Booking Officer for casual bookings and all session cancellations. For a permanent cancellation, please contact the Membership Officer.
The Booking Officer is a volunteer Playstation member. Please be considerate of their other commitments and call between 7.30am – 8.30pm.
Any Playstation member can volunteer to be the Booking Officer for the term. Their name and telephone number is posted on the noticeboard in advance at the centre and in our newsletter. The Booking Officer is entitled to free use of the centre for one child for that term.
Cancellations
Please notify the Booking Officer as early as is possible (do not leave a message on the answering machine at Playstation).
If you cancel a session, for whatever reason, it cannot be “made up” at a later date.
You must cancel the session at least one hour prior before it is due to commence. Failure to do so will incur the following costs:
- Permanent session – an additional cost of $5.00
- Casual session – full cost of the session that has been cancelled
