Wellbeing, health and safety
Policies (i.e. Allergy incorporating a No-nut policy, Asthma, Indoor/Outdoor Play) have been developed and implemented to maintain the health and safety of all who attend Playstation. A detailed copy of all policies is available on request at the front desk at Playstation.
Illness and medication
The wellbeing of all children is our highest priority, and we ask for your cooperation with this. Please keep unwell children at home. If a child shows any of the following symptoms, please don’t attend until while they are affected:
Diarrhoea/Vomiting (please keep them home for at least 48 hours)
Fever (above 38 degrees Celsius)
Breathing difficulties or signs of respiratory infection (cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose)
Nausea
Headache
Head Lice
Conjunctivitis or
Cold sores
If your child exhibits any of these symptoms at Playstation, they will be sent home. If your child is unwell, they will be quarantined with a staff member and you will be called to collect them as soon as possible. Please note, this staff member will wear personal protective equipment (PPE), whilst caring for your unwell child. Please ensure you are contactable at all times while your child is at Playstation.
Any child attending Playstation with asthma must have a written asthma management plan filled out by their family doctor. No medication is to be brought to Playstation, the only exception being maintenance medication for chronic conditions(i.e. Ventolin). If these need to be brought in, please hand them to the supervisor with instructions for use clearly written on the medication. Do not leave the medication in your child’s bag under any circumstances.
Allergies
Please notify staff of your child’s allergy when commencing at Playstation. A list of children and their allergies is updated and kept in your child’s room.
Nuts and nut products are strictly prohibited at Playstation.
Important safety precautions
Do not, under any circumstances, let any child other than your own through any gate or door. Please ensure the gate is closed firmly behind you. Entrance and departure is only via the front gate.
Please only bring prams if necessary for your child’s use during their session.
Do not double park in the train station car park as it is highly dangerous and could result in an accident.
